This section shows a small picture, gives a short description and a summary information of our Veterinary Nurses.

Louise Chappell
Louise has been qualified for three years. She has packed a lot of experience into her years as a nurse working in first opinion, referral and emergency clinics. Before moving to Highfields she was working for the PDSA in Sheffield. She is currently studying for her advanced diploma in surgical nursing. Louise is originally from Leeds but has recently moved to Sheffield so is seeing a lot less of the M1 now. She has three cats, Bebe, Pepi and Little Girl, and also has a small aviary (to torment the cats).
Keith Wainwright
Keith has been with Highfield Veterinary Centre for over twenty years – some say he was born there! He is clearly already a highly accomplished nurse but now that Highfield has become a Veterinary Nurse Training Practice he is taking the opportunity to gain his nursing qualifications. Keith lives on a farm and has four cats, two goats and two pigs as well as cattle, peacocks and more.
Cheryl Bilton
Cheryl has been with the practice for the over five years. She has always been keen to gain her Veterinary Nurse qualifications and now that Highfield is a training practice she is well on the way to achieving that goal. She has two cats, Elvis and Suzie. Elvis came to the practice through the RSPCA with a fractured pelvis. Suzie is hyperthyroid (has an overactive thyroid gland).Ray Smith
Ray has recently joined the practice as a trainee veterinary nurse but as she also works at Sheffield Cat Shelter, already has plenty of experience in handling cats! Ray has a dog and several guinea pigs.Jonathan Sherwood
Jonathan is a fully qualified veterinary nurse who works for us two evenings a week. His “day job” is as an advisor for Veterinary Instrumentation, a Sheffield-based company supplying equipment to veterinary practices nationwide. He is an avid Barnsley Football Club fan (so we keep him away from Bramall Lane for his own safety).News and Updates
